Bose SoundLink Color Bluetooth Speaker Review

Bose is a very reputed name in the music equipments industry, and the SoundLink Color is one of the most popular bluetooth speakers it offers. Besides boasting a sound quality that seems beyond impressive even by Bose’s standards, it’s relatively lightweight and compact, making it very portable and travel-friendly bluetooth speaker.

With that being said, let’s find out below why most of the customers are all praise for the SoundLink Color.

Fantastic Sound Quality

First things first, remember that it’s NOT a home theatre system, but a portable wireless bluetooth speaker. So it’s only fair to not compare it to your home theatre system as some customers do.

With that out of the way, let us tell you that the sound quality is indeed exceptional, and better than some of the more expensive speakers out there, including the Bose Mini.

Bose SoundLink Color Bluetooth Speaker

It produces a deep, rich and clear sound. The highs, mids and lows are taken care of pretty well, and they are all very clear. The bass is not overpowering, but is very noticeable and quite deep and warm.

As for the loudness, as one of the customers mentioned, it sounds like an industrial air conditioner at the full volume. This is saying something, given that there’s still no loss of detail or any distortion.

The main difference between the Bose Mini and SoundLink Color is that the former is very heavy and not fit for outdoor use, while the latter is very compact and portable.

Similarly, the Color can be charged using a standard USB cable, which just adds to the portability as you don’t have to carry additional cable and power-supply.

Connects Effortlessly

While connectivity isn’t really considered to be a very important feature of a bluetooth speaker, it may turn out to be a hassle if it isn’t good enough. There are probably many speakers out there that sound darn good but are annoyingly challenging to connect and pair with a device.

That being said, the SoundLink Color is amazingly quick and easy to connect and pair with bluetooth devices. All you need to do is enable the bluetooth on your device and turn on the speaker. It will connect to the device automatically, and almost as soon as you turn it on.

Other Features

Coming to another important feature, the battery life, the SoundLink Color turns out to be surprisingly good on this front as well. Many customers share how good the battery life is, with some saying that they use it for hours daily and still goes strong for a few days.

Similarly, it’s also very durable. A customer mentioned about dropping it on hard concrete floor, but it didn’t even get a scratch.

A Final Word

The Bose SoundLink Color is one of the best portable bluetooth speakers out there, and given the “beyond impressive” sound quality and durability, is worth every penny.

Thanks for these reviews, they were helpful.I do have a question, though.I am looking for a new Bluetooth speaker. The star of my lineup right now is theOontz angle3.It has high quality sound and plays extremely loud.Ilike them so much I have given a couple of them as gifts. The recipients rave about them as much as I do about mine.I am looking for the best option under $200.00.I think it is between the BoseSoundlink Color and the Oontz angle3xl.Any thoughts,or advice would be appreciated. Thank you
